How to: Determine what version of Windows 95 is being used.
Solution:
Double-click the 'System' icon in 'Control Panel', and locate the version number on the 'General' tabbed page.
1) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
2) Select 'Settings' and select 'Control Panel'. (The 'Control Panel' window appears.)
3) Double-click the 'System' icon. (The 'System Properties' dialog box appears.)
4) Click the 'General' tab.
5) Under 'System', locate the version number:
4.00.950 - indicates that Windows 95 is installed.
4.00.950a - indicates that Windows 95, plus the Service Pack 1 Update or OEM Service Release 1, is installed.
4.00.950b - indicates that Windows 95 OEM Service Release 2 is installed.
